The Great Twin Island Adventure.

hello possums!

so pending david leaving for his trip to halifax for 3 weeks, we decided to take a little over night camping trip.

we rented a canoe and paddled for 1.5 hours off Dove Cove to twin islands. theres the big one. and the little one. and we camped on the little island where we were completly alone.

i have to say ... its quiet a surreal experiance knowing that you are the only people on the entire landmass!

we got up the next day and paddled back against the tide. which was tiring but very enjoyable.

now david is off on his cross country drive for 3 weeks - from halifax back to vancouver... im trying to get some more work to pay yet the more bills that keep coming through the hole in the door.

ladies and gentlemen... i made it to 27!!!

hello everyone.

wanted to drop you a line to share with you some pics from my birthday yesterday. i know that most of you think its strange that i still like to enjoy my birthday instead of doing the - "its just another day" "its not really that important" " oh whatever - ive had enough of them now - i dont celebrate them anymore" crap! i was born! my mother was in labour for over 12 hours to get me! this is not to be snuffed at! not by me! not by anyone!

i had a wonderful day, very romantic, and completly blisful.

starting off but waking up and opening presents, then getting on a bus and a ferry, and going to the sunshine coast (north of vancouver) for the day. the weather was brilliant, and the water was cold.

we hitch hiked from the ferry to Roberts Creek and back improvising little "ditties" to keep us occupied as the cars went past without stopping. David and I sunbathed, i got a foot rub by the sea, we skinny dipped, and the had lunch at a nice restaurant where we requested to make a picnic on thier lawn instead of sitting at the tables. naturally on my birthday i had to have rolo icecream to finish off the feast.

we came back on the ferry quiet pink from the impromptue sunshine, we gingerly sat on the futon couch where i taught David how to play 500 (a card game). all round a great birthday.

thanks to all who sent emails, cards, ecards, phone calls, and flowers.
