Bittersweet Symphony!

Well possums,

this week has been, well very bittersweet.

my first week back in Canada. Great to see old friends. My lawyer paid for lunch (great bonus), and I was honored and privileged to be invited into the scores (all 3 of us that I know of) that have watched back to back episodes of the ditched series "Firefly". Don't ask me why, just put it down to the jet lag crazies.

firstly I have to say I HATE couch surfing. But if I have to couch surf then bouncing between Michaels and scotts could be a lot worse. Wow... That came out a lot worse than I meant it too. Both lovely platonic friends, Michael lives alone so can do with a woman's cooking every now and then, and Scott has all my stuff from my apartment. So when I say couch surfing, its actually surfing on my couch!

for the big highs and big lows of the week, I shall start with "how crap can life really get" and work my way to "oh my god! That's fantastic!"

firstly, a friend of mine, the type that I wish we were closer, has just been diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma - cancer. And has to do the whole chemo thing. Im sorry... But in my book, lovely, fun, intelligent, 30 year olds (or at least early thirties) just shouldn't get cancer! Yes I know its about the life lesson and the karma that will be worked out but for goodness sake. It doesn't make it suck any less.

and now for the "oh my god That's fantastic" I have had an offer from the "new york literary agency" to represent me and my upcoming book! YAY!!!!! it makes the countless rejection letters feel all the more worth while.

Still waiting on my permanent residency. But getting very good and twiddling... My thumbs.

love and pixie dust.
